  • How does the Market Prospector subscription service work?
    • Market Prospector is sold on an annual subscription basis. Clients purchase a subscription to one or more counties in our coverage area. Each paid subscription includes: licensing for Market Prospector software on up to 3 PCs, county-specific data, integrated help system, monthly database updates, usage scenarios, all available documentation, and technical support.
  • What counties do you currently have in your coverage area?
    • Currently, we have 26 counties in our coverage area. Specifically, we have all counties in NJ and all counties in Southeastern PA. We also have independent licensees throughout the United States, so please contact us if you need data outside of our immediate coverage area. And, remember to check back frequently, as we are constantly improving our offerings.
  • Where do you get your data from?
    • Our data comes from a variety of sources, depending on the products and services we are providing. All of our property and marketing data comes directly from various municipal, county, and state government agencies. We also use third-party data sources and collection agencies. Our data files are updated monthly to ensure that the most accurate information is always available to our clients.
  • How much does a subscription to Market Prospector cost?
    • Pricing for Market Prospector is $300 per county per year. We do offer volume discounts to clients purchasing two or more counties at a time.
  • Can I get a trial version of Market Prospector first?
    • Yes. The fastest and easiest way to get a demo copy of Market Prospector is to download one directly from our website. Simply navigate to the "Products" section within this website and look for the "Download" button. Follow the on-screen instructions and in minutes you'll experience the power of Market Prospector.
  • Do you have a web-based version of your software?
    • Yes. Starting with v5.0 of Market Prospector, we released a hosted version of our software that can be accessed by any computer with a broadband Internet connection. The only requirement is that you are able to install and run a Microsoft Remote Desktop connection (support is available for Windows, Mac, and many Linux varieties). Please contact us for further information.
  • How do I update my county databases?
    • In Market Prospector, all county database updates are provided via our integrated Data Update facility. From the County Selection screen, simply click on the "Update Data" menu option and then follow the on-screen prompts. It is very easy to use and only takes a few minutes per county for clients with a broadband Internet connection. New updates are posted every month and clients are free to update their databases at their own convenience.
  • How do I get Technical Support if I need it?
    • Clients engaged with custom development or consulting projects, or purchasing marketing data, should contact their Account Manager directly. He or she will get back to you within 24 hours. Market Prospector clients should send us an email using the "Contact" form. A representative will respond within 24 hours.
  • What happens when my subscription is over?
    • Market Prospector is sold via an annual subscription to one or more county databases. So, you get 365 days of use. Approximately 15-20 days before the end of your subscription period, you will receive a warning message stating that your subscription is about to expire. Simply contact us to arrange for payment or pay online using PayPal. Once you renewal payment has been received, your subscription will be extended for another 365 days. In the unfortunate event that you choose not to renew your subscription, the software will simply "time out". Once this happens, the application will be rendered useless and inoperable. It can then be uninstalled from your PC at your convenience.
  • I have a Mac. Will your software work with my computer?
    • We do not have a version of software that can be installed directly on Macs. However, you can use our web-based version of Market Prospector to access our software from any computer with a broadband Internet connection and the ability to run Microsoft Remote Desktop connections. Our data is updated each month, cleaned, and placed into a fully searchable database that anyone can use.
